Platbank Beach Walk (Oysterbed Walk)

This stretch of beautiful unspoilt beach falls within the Goukamma Reserve and is a must-do if you like beach walks. This is the ideal place to come relax, unwind and get away from it all and just walk for kilometers.

From the parking area you can walk towards Sedgefield’s Myoli Beach or east towards Knysna. It is possible to walk all the way to Buffalo Bay, but this is quite a long walk. It is advisable to do this walk at low tide otherwise some sections might be impassable.

This is also a great spot for shore fishing, but no bait or oyster collection is allowed.
