Hikes
Please note that dog are not allowed on any of the hikes within the Garden Route National Park, SANParks or CapeNature areas.

Beach Walks
Most of the beaches in the Garden Route are dog friendly with the exception of a few. Some of them do however have times, especially during peak seasons, when dogs are not allowed so check signage at the beaches to confirm. Please adhere to leash and poop removal guidelines.
There are sections of the beach near Gericke’s Point between Sedgefield and Wilderness, Goukamma between Sedgefield and Knysna, Keerbooms between Plettenberg Bay and Nature’s Valley where dog are specifically not permitted at any time as these sections fall within conservation areas.
