Woodbourne Pan

There is a small stream that joins the estuary through this pan from the left and this is a popular gathering are for a variety of birds, we’ve been fortunate to even see the African Fish Eagle perched in one of the trees on the opposite bank as well as egrets, ducks, spoonbills, herons and more.

Distance: You can bird from your car or take a stroll next to the road and sit somewhere on the gras.

Directions: Take  George Rex drive towards Leisure Island. The road makes a bend to the right as you approach the turnoff along the causeway to Leisure Island on your right the pan is on your left and there is some parking on the left as the road makes the right hand bend.​

Note: Be careful of traffic. Take caution with children next to the road as it can be busy at times.
