Cairnbrogie Farm is a playground for the whole family in the truest sense, even dogs are welcome provided they are on a leash.
There are a couple of beginner and kids friendly MTB trails on the farm with names like Funky Forest, Berm Blast, Windbreak and Coastal connection. These range from 1.3 to 4 km and there is also a 11 km coastal route with views over the coast line. If you are looking for longer or more challenging rides you can start from the farm and head into the Cape Pine / MTO trails right next door and even join up with SANParks trails beyond that, just remember to get your SANParks permit in advance. MTO permits obtainable from Cairnbrogie.
For the hiking enthusiast there is also a trail along the plato with views over the ocean and coast line as well as a trail heading down to a small bay. The Robberg Coastal Corridor also passes through this area. Dogs are allowed on most of the trails on the farm with the exception of the coastal trails as these pass through conservation areas.
Other activities on the farm include horse rides, bass fishing in the dam and birding. Remember to visit the Cairbrogie café for a lovely coffee, there is a pump track next to the café where you can sit and watch the kids ride some more to their hart’s content.
